Can we just take a moment to talk about tights?

I haven't worn tights in YEARS and I had no idea the wondrous powers they possessed. I currently have cellulite all the way to my knees (ahh the joys of motherhood) but I couldn't spot ANY through my magic tights...AND I TRIED!!! I may never take them off!

Milo stayed home with Grandma being his cute little self...

Dinner was delicious! King Prawn Linguine topped with half a lobster? Yes Please! For anyone in the area, Central Park in Doncaster is still great under new management ..I'd heard some bad reviews but it's absolutely worth a visit if you happen to find yourself around these parts.

Oh and of course there were cocktails...

Outfit Month #5

I think I'm doing pretty well keeping up with this whole "outfit month" so far. It's so much easier uploading from my phone if it's everyday commitment.

Today what I am wearing is my new chunky sweater from Primark, Topshop maternity leggings and Faith boots (as you can see from my awesome pose)

Today was my first walk TO work (I usually only have to walk home) so I needed the RedBull.. Don't judge me!

Very neutral makeup today, ABC gum from Urban Decay and Wedge from Mac on my eyes, Peaches blush from Mac and bare lips. I straightened my hair this morning for the first time in ages and I'm gonna have to review what I used on it 'cause it still feels fantastic.

It was also Ella's first day back at school, for those wondering she was itching to get back and had what she called "the best day ever" which is always nice to hear. We're on our way home from Meadowhall (again) now having stocked up on some new schoolwear and taken back some not so flattering maternity jeans to H&M. I did receive a parcel from H&M today as it happens so I'll probably be wearing what I bought tomorrow!

Outfit Month #3

Next Maternity Jeans, primark new long-line vest (love!) and Zara cardigan, BCBGeneration heels and the headband is also primark. Let's not forget the crazy eyes pic showcasing my leopard print nail art (oh how I wish I could crop a photo on my ipod)

Off to my Dads birthday party now..

DIY neckline...

I picked up this dress from Primark for a bargainous £3. I knew I wasn't 100% sold on the cut but at that price I had nothing to lose if my alteration didn't work out.

Firstly I HATED the gold buttons down the sides (you can't see them well here but trust me... they were there) So first thing I snipped those bad boys off!

 Next up I took my scissors to the centre of the neckline and cut to my preferred depth. I folded in the excess fabric and put a couple of stitches in to hold it in place and voila...

The original neckline was so unflattering on me.. and quite possibly on anyone. What I have now is something much more my style and it took me 5 minutes, TOPS!

Don't throw away an item that you're not in love with anymore before getting a little creative first. If it doesn't work out you've lost nothing but if it does you've given it a new lease of life and you'll feel that little boost of pride every time you wear it knowing you had a hand in it's custom style.

I love this top. It's from Forever21 last year and I haven't worn it much but it will live in my closet forever. It's a keeper, for sure.

I am totally into flowy tops that skim my bump right now, especially these sheer blouses. I have taken so long to come around to this trend but I am LOVING them now and this one was only £8!!!

Ok, Ok I know I'm living in leggings right now but they're just so darn comfortable!

The top is my newest Primark acquisition, an absolute bargain at just £8!!!

It's a really gorgeous grey/grey/blue colour it's really "me" so I am loving that right now and will be scouring the highstreet for similar shades.

The Blue vest underneath is from H&M and my faithful leggings are, as always, Forever21.

The rings I'm wearing (seen below)... the stackers on the left are a mixture of H&M and Pandora and my engagement ring is the other, of course.

Bag (seen below) is Ted Baker.

My pendant is also from my new favourite shop, Forever21. You just cannot beat them for accessories right now. I love necklaces like this that you can just throw on, no fiddly fixings etc, it's an easy statement piece.

Dress from Primark (summer 2010)

I've never worn this before, it's just hung in my closet but it's baggy enough to just about hide my expanding waist right now. - Great for Primark, I think.

 Necklace is also an old one from Primark but it's had a lot of wear. Its kind of a mix of gold/brassy and pewter tones so it's really versatille.

Shoes were an eBay bargain from a few years back, Jimmy Choo, I wish I knew the name... they are pretty bashed up now but I love them all the same.

I would have preferred the jumper to be a little longer with me wearing leggings but overall this is the comfiest outfit I've worn in ages! Watch this space for some maternity stuff soon though 'cause my choice of work wear is getting more and more limited all the time. Off to watch Gossip Girl now and envy the beautiful hair and wardrobe of Serena Vanderwoodsen *sigh*

This jumper is so nice on, Another thing I picked up in the sale recently, the only problem is by the end of the day it looked like I'd had a dog sat on my lap.. it has mohair in it and it gets EVERYWHERE!

I've discovered the morning light in my living room is much better than outside so my outfit posts should be a little better from now on!
