Belated Jubilations...

 In between wrecking my hair this weekend (see here for story on that) I fit in a little party at my parents to celebrate the Queen sitting on a chair for 16 years.. or so my daughter explained it. Unfortunately she wasn't with us this weekend so we will have a repeat next Sunday just for her but I thought I'd share the photo's I captured in her absnece. In honor of her majesty I may have overdone it on the Pimms a little but luckily I was home so early I slept right through my hangover and was bright eyed and bushy tailed for baby wake-up at 7am.

It should have been a garden part but unfortunately as most of you know, it wasn't exacty BBQ weather. For what I wore see here and for those interested in little Milo Bears outfit , here.

Milo's representing for the American's this Jubilee weekend.

Tomorrow is my parents party, I showed a little of the garden decor last week and below you can see a sneak peek of their flag craziness.. yesterday he had another box of stuff delivered and is apparently planning on leaving it up for the YEAR, yep we're all gonna be sick of red, white and blue by Christmas. I, myself am trying to get in to the celebratory spirit but in truth without their enthusiasm I think we'd just stay home this weekend and watch TV.

Regardless I'm looking forward to sharing the pictures with you from tomorrow.

For a while I've been toying with the idea of separating my outfit posts from my beauty stuff. I've gone some way to doing that today by setting up an 'outfit archive' blog. It will be purely photos, no chatty content and really more of a reference for me of my own wardrobe. Coming Around To Summer

Today's H&M outfit was entirely accidental I just love so much from them that it seems to be happening more and more lately that my whole ensemble is H&M exclusive.

I'm not massively in to summer, I prefer the Autumn weather and of course the Winter for Christmas. The British summer never seems to live up to much but this year might be different.

As per our usual Sunday routine we went to my parents house for lunch and had our first barbecue of the season. My Mum and Dad break out the grill as early as possible every year so May is late for us. They're already prepping for next weekends Jubilation's which you'll be glad to here will include lots of Unions Jacks, Pimms and MASKS - you'll see. But for this week the food was delicious, the weather was warm and best of all the baby.. was asleep!

The dogs had different idea's as to how to enjoy the heat.

The last photo was our last night and quite possibly my favourite outfit of the trip.. the 3 photos just go to show how different shapes and colours can manipulate the look of one persons body. Between the second and last photo I look like I lost half a stone!! I need to accentuate my legs which are always slim and hide my upper half which is well.. never. You can expect some colour blocking and 'dress for your body type' posts soon as this inspired me to learn more about the clothes I choose.

These photos are from a few weeks ago now and have been sitting in my drafts all lonely waiting to be posted but as with post pictures from a night out.. The accompanying text never comes to me so this will be a post in pictures! We went for a meal and drinks with friends, one of which was K from stylesocoy.com. It was still dreary and rainy so much as I'd have loved to dress up I still liked my outfit and felt warm and comfortable as opposed to glamorous and freezing!

I am getting so slack on the blogger front, I swear I must have 30 posts in draft waiting to be written up.. I don't know what's happened I just seem to have lost my mojo. While I have it I'm going to get a few scheduled to tide me over but I just so rarely get the motivation these days. I think it's the lack of quiet time I get to actually concentrate on what I'm writing with the kids around but they're out for a walk right now so I'm ceasing my opportunity!

A couple of weeks ago Ella was invited to a birthday party at the bowling alley. I for one cannot stand to sit around and play nice with the other Mums so we played a game or two ourselves to pass the time. It was Milo's first trip ever and our first since it was renovated a couple of years ago and I was really surprised, it looks so cool. Doncaster Bowl (yes I know, it's the hippest name, right?) had looked the same since my 7th birthday and all of a sudden it's revamped and like a disco at 10am!

All in all it was a fun morning and the least tedious child's birthday party I've had to endure since Ella started school so I'd definitely consider something similar when Ella turns 7 in September.. plus my 7th birthday was in the very same place so there's a nice symmetry there.

I'm late in posting this along with a couple of other outfits so this coming week may be 'style' heavy. I bought these red jeans in the Topshop sale which is totally out of character for me.. I very rarely buy from Topshop but I've been searching for a pair of coloured jeans for maybe a year that actually suit me and these were perfect. I bought them online and the reviews suggested they were in the sale because they were more suited to shorties like me so I couldn't resist. I got them in a 30in leg and they are the absolutely perfect length jeans for me. I think I paid about £25 but now I've found a style I love I will for sure be going to check out the other colour options in store.

This shirt is the kind of thing I see other bloggers wearing and thing *sigh* I'd love to be able to pull that off so when I saw a version in my local H&M for just £7.99 I couldn't resist. Unfortunately I've become so used to buying larger sizes since having Milo that this is way too big. I think I hid it relatively well in pictures but I couldn't have gone without an undershirt, I could go at least a size down.. if not 2. On another note mint really isn't my colour. This saddens me as everything lately is mint (or seafoam if you like) and I love it but if I'm honest.. I knew it wouldn't work! Luckily there's a silver lining.. H&M do several colours of this shirt so I will be going back for another.

I haven't done an outfit post in forever but that will change.. I've got a taste for them again. As I mentioned in my L'Oreal Caresse post I got majorly sidetracked yesterday so this outfit is not in fact today's but yesterdays.. Easter Eve!

Let It Snow...

*What I'm Wearing*

Jumper and Jeans (still maternity shamefully) are both from Next and my boots are Uggs. 

I am so in love with this jumper (link) it was a gift to myself... I've wanted a chunky knit forever so when I found one I actually liked i had to have it! I'm so picky about knitwear. I've been living  in these jeans lately... still feel absolutely huge but trying to remind myself Milo is only 11 weeks old. It's not long 'til Vegas now though and the bikini pressure is getting to me! I've upped my Zumba class to twice a week and given up coke and popcorn (my two vices) in an attempt to aid the weight loss but only time will tell and I'm just not a dieter or gym bunny so it's the best I can do.

The only thing I asked for on my birthday... SNOW!!!

 And here's how i spent the rest of my day...

Breakfast in bed, presents, shopping and champagne (it was also our one week anniversary so we had a bottle in the fridge.. we're not usually so fancy) I especially loved my popcorn "cake"

I picked up a few bits from Boots which I'll show you in another post and finally got my hands on the Naked II palette (it was my present from Mum) so that in itself pretty much made my day.
