Emmas Little Lovelies

Last week a lovely reader called Emma contacted me and asked if she could send me a hand made necklace she thought was appropriate given my recent nuptials. It arrived beautifully packaged and with a lovely card. The necklace (below) is very cute and layers nicely with my birthday chain from Lee.

Having looked at her 'shop' online (link) she has some really sweet pieces and so affordable. My favourite has to be this Alice In Wonderland inspired necklace which is just 99p!!!

I love trinkety style charm jewellery and the hand made element of course.

She seems to be just starting out but I will be following her for sure to see what other designs she comes up with. Any other jewellery makers out there.. leave me your link in the comments

And thank you Emma for the lovely little gift

My Jewellery Storage

I have finally found storage solutions for all of my jewellery so thought I would share with you all...

I rarely used to wear the jewellery I had but now it's all out on display it's much easier to accessorise in the mornings. I don't know about you but if it's too fiddly I wont bother so long necklaces I can slip over my head are much more likely to be worn that short ones i have to fasten. I used to house these necklaces on doorknobs all over the house (to the frustration of my fiance) but the nails in the wall of my makeup room have created a simple solution and are a nice decorative touch. I would love something to put all of my bracelets on where I can more clearly see them and am still looking for a large ring tray for the same purpose but for now this is how I store everything and it's a massive improvement so I'm happy.

How do you store your accessories?

Outfit Month #19

*What I'm Wearing*

Khaki Print Top - Forever21
Trousers - Next Maternity
Black Pumps - Primark
Name Necklace and Silver Ring - Both eBay
Nails - W7 Khaki

I've had a couple of questions about my engagement ring recently so really quick...
The centre diamond was originally from my Grandma's solitaire and we had it specially made to my design.
We bought it from Ernest Jones, they hold free design days where you can work with a designer to make any unique item of jewellery you wish so if you have something you've always wanted but never been able to find or some stones/metal you've inherited they can help you create something totally new.
We added pear shaped amethysts (my birth stone) either side and tiny diamonds all over the mount and down the sides of the band. I took a quick shot for this post but it looks a lot nicer after a good clean, if you'd be interested in more pictures let me know..

You can find a design day near you here

'til tomorrow...

What's Black and White and Pregnant All Over?

*what I'm wearing*

Maternity shirt  and leggings both from Tophshop. They are so ridiculously comfortable you wouldn't believe it! It feels like I'm wearing pyjamas to work.. AWESOME!
The shirt's pretty sheer so I wear a nude vest from H&M underneath which has quickly become a staple for me. I don't know why I never realised that nude under white was invisible.. all this time I've been wearing white vests underneath sheer tops and I've clearly been doing it all wrong!
Jewellery - Hamsa hand necklace is one I made from bits and bobs I bought from eBay last year and the long key is from F21. My nails are OPI's "Your Cabana Or Mine?" which I am totally in love with and has definitely earned its own post so I'll not get into that now.
I wore plain black Primark pumps which are now my everyday footwear of choice and there you have my current favourite outfit. The shirt is uber fine cotton and so creases like you wouldn't believe but otherwise it's just perfect. Makeup-wise I've rediscovered my love of liquid liner in a big way.. Lauren Conrad has a lot to answer for!

Black and Beige and Striped all over

*what I'm wearing*
Jumper - Next
Trousers - River Island
Shoes - Primark
Gold Bracelet - Vintage
Earrings - Forever 21

This jumper is so nice on, Another thing I picked up in the sale recently, the only problem is by the end of the day it looked like I'd had a dog sat on my lap.. it has mohair in it and it gets EVERYWHERE!
I've discovered the morning light in my living room is much better than outside so my outfit posts should be a little better from now on!

And a little peek at the growing bump..

Orgasm Multiple, Blended

I have had THE longest day!
Up early for a morning at Ellas school, she was given a "Brilliant Bee" award, very proud Mummy here!
Then a docs appt with Lee and an afternoon of birthday shopping.
It's not my birthday until next week but I want a day to prep and preen (I rarely go out) so I thought I'd do the exhausting shopping a week early. I went a little crazy but it's a treat :) Very excited to get to try out my new Nars. I've wanted the Orgasm multiple and the sheer glow FOR-EVER but I think the sales lady wanted to hug me when I bought a blush as well.. very little sales involved lol. I tried Bella Bamba by Benefit today too and I like it! I think I will purchase next week.. very cute on!

Anywho..
I'm working all weekend so I'll wish you all a great one now, and for those going to IMATS I am sooo jealous but I know I would have bankrupted myself if I'd gone!
