Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette... In stock NOW!

Ever since I saw Kandee Johnsons post on this US launch last month I've checked the Debenhams website every few days in the hope it would be available in the UK so imagine my glee when I logged on today and saw THIS!!!!

It's £39 and in stock right now so if you want it you'd better grab it quick, it's limited edition for 2011 so unlike the Naked which has become part of their permanent line once this is gone... It's gone! It may seem a lot to spend on a palette but Urban Decay shadows are such great value for money compared to brands like MAC. They use less binders which means more pay off WHICH MEANS they last longer because you don't need as much product. In this palette there are 15 brand new shadows that quite possibly won't be seen outside this set again so for junkies like me it's not even an option not to buy it!
I've just put in my order so as soon as it arrives I will put up swatches and a more in depth review, for now I just wanted to spread the word.. IT'S HERE!!!!!!

Dior Mitzah Palette - WOW

I am in serious awe of Dior's new limited edition eyeshadow palette.
It will be available exclusively at Selfridges from 1st June but at £60 it's a ridiculous price even for such a beautiful collectors item as this. At £40 I'd have considered it but it would have still been a big splurge but £60? That's mental.
Anyway... I couldn't not share the beauty with you all, crazy money or not.. I'm sure many drugstore dupes will pop up in months to come so I'll be saving my love and my pennies for them instead.

MAC Lipstick Haul

I splurged last week and made a little MAC order online.
I intended to buy from the new Surf Baby collection but when I saw the 10% discount on lipsticks I couldn't resist. I picked up one from the new collection, Hibiscus,  I always go for the brights even though I rarely wear them. I got a couple of shades I liked the look of online and my first Viva Glam, I've been wanting Viva Glam V for the longest time and I'm not disappointed. So many people list it as their favourite shade and it may just be mine. It's nothing "special" but it's so pretty on my lips, it's just as they say "my lips but better" really beautiful!
Ravishing is a nice peachy colour, reminds me a lot of Revlon Colorburst "Peach" which I wear a lot. Sandy B I wasn't so enamored of, I should have known, it's a frost and I'm not a huge frost fan but it looked nice online.. mmm I'm not sure it will get that much wear but it's a nice enough colour, kind of a golden pink.

My faves from what I bought are Viva Glam V and Hibiscus (even though I probably won't wear it ha)
This will be my last MAC purchase for a while as I'm am on a self imposed spending ban as of yesterday so it was a nice little package to arrive today :)
You can expect lots of dupe posts and back to budget beauty tips coming very soon!!!

MAC - Quite Cute

So... I was so looking forward to The Mac WW collection but having seen some of the stuff now I'm not so much all about it. I was looking up other upcoming spring collections and how have I only just seen THIS?
I have never been so excited about a MAC collection! It's all pastels and beautiful-ness.
First up I'm going to need ALL of the polishes, they are so me, I love them! Purple is my favourite colour so the lilac lipstick and gloss will be an absolute must even if they turn out totally unwearable I am going to NEED them in my life! I really like what they've done with the mineralise blush's in this collection, very cute (duh) and the shades are so unusual, again... I'll be having the lilac. The peach lipglass is calling out to me too and the pale pink lipstick. I pretty much want everything from this one so I'm okay with WW not living up to the hype when I have this to look forward to.
What have you guys got your eye on?
It's just all so pretty.

XOXO

Urban Decay 24/7 Anniversary Collection

2011 marks Urban Decays 15 year anniversary and I for one couldn't be more excited.
There are lots of new products launching, one of which is the 24/7 pencil set. FIFTEEN  beautiful, waterproof, smudgeproof liners including SIX brand new shades! I think I'm most excited about seeing Midnight Cowboy and Perversion in pencil form.
The collection includes..

 Asphyxia (pinky iridescent purple)
Corrupt (dark metallic brown w/silver sparkle)
 Midnight Cowboy (beige w/gold sparkle)
 Perversion (blackest carbon black)
Stray Dog (shimmery brown taupe)
Uzi (gunmetal w/grey sparkle)

As well as these 9 sell out shades..
Baked
Binge
 Bourbon
Electric
Mildew
Ransom
Rockstar
Stash
Zero

What's your all time favourite 24/7 liner? And are there any shadows you'd have rather seen as a pencil in the collection?

NYE Champale Delight

Alittle preview of my new tutorial video...
I loved my new Champale so much I had to try it out so I thought as it's NYE tomorrow it was the perfect time.
I took lots of photos trying to capture the glow but it's so hard... this is what I have... third picture down is a great shot of the sparkle in the Stardust shadow that is almost impossibly to photograph usually.

MAC Cham -Pale

Something terrible happened today.
MAC unexpectedly launched their new collection in stores and I spent money I shouldn't have on frivolous items...oohps. In my defence this collection is my favourite so far! I loved V/V but the colours weren't so wearable.. this is much more my style and each piece adds to whatever you already have in your makeup bag. You don't necassarilly need everything from cham-pale and you probably  wouldn't do a full face of shimmer and sheen (well... not every day) but you can mix and match with other stuff and give your existing looks a chic new edge! So as usually I took a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure and to look a little crazy..

Lipstick swatches Top-Bottom: Quiet Please, Tanarama, Flustered, Gel

And here are the things I picked up..

Special Reserve Highlight Powder in Rose Ole

Lipstick in Gel (permanent)

Paintpot in Chilled On Ice
This was difficult to swatch so I got a kind of blurry fingertip picture and an on-cheek shot.

Nail Laquer in Soiree

I'm totally in love with Cham-Pale .. I want it all but what I have has satisfied me.
I've heard really mixed opinions prior to its launch so I'm really interested to know what you guys think.
What are you planning to buy or have you already picked up?
This collection is not for everyone but as a neutral/metallics lover I can't think of a better collection to ring in the New Year.

MAC Tartan Tale

Hey Guys!
I saw this collection buzz a week or so ago and I wanted to share the preview pictures with you...
I know you'll see these everywhere but if you haven't already ... here they are!

Similar to previous MAC holiday collections in some ways but different in so many others!
It seems the last few limited edition collections that MAC have brought out haven't been such a major hit with the beauty community! I must say.. you all know how excited I was for the launch of the Venomous Villains and I bought my must have items, some of which I love, but overall I was dissappointed by the collection.
They had such a solid idea I feel they could have just done it so much better.
There were so many things fans have been together in slating, different character choices that you would have thought were obvious, different products etc. The packaging felt cheap, not the usual sturdy mac plastic but something much more toy-like. Whether they did that intentionally I don't know but I was shocked at how flimsy things seemed when MAC is known for it's quality..
I know this blog wasn't about V/V but it overspilled.. I should have added this in an edit to my review maybe.
ANYWAY... Tartan Tale, Obviously we're yet to see this collection "in the flesh" and I'm kind of torn over the whole thing. For one I don't really like tartan LOL.. For another.. the shades aren't really my kinda colours.. I am sad that the first year I am discovering cosmetic companies holiday collections I am yet to find one I think is fabulous!
There are a few stand out points to mention..
MAC are giving huge charitable donations to their Aids Fund from the sales of this launch
Which is obviously fabulous..
They are also the first to have used this new innovative flocking technique which has given their shadows a patterned "tartan" effect which runs right down through to the pan...
When I first saw the pictures I mistook them for a new burberry line... Burberry has laid the check pattern on many of their cosmetic products in the past but this is a revelation!!
How could they not have got there first?
I think if anything I may be interested in the shadows for that reason... I'll wait til those lucky bloggers that get to go to preview events give us the early scoop with swatches and reviews to make my final judgement but I'm not so excited about this one folks..
The special shadows interest me but the colours don't so I'd be buying them purely for the gimic..
What do you all think of the new line?
Well its out next month so you don't have to wait long..
If you want these for christmas you'll need to start hinting like... now!
