New Skincare

I've been watching MANY YouTube videos on skincare today.. I spend so much on makeup and have such a large collection but I don't really have a skincare routine.. that changes now.

Here are some of the videos I watched in case you're interested..

 

I realise I need to watch my diet.. now I don't feel nauseous anymore (pregnancy) I can choose what I eat a little better. I also need to drink more water (although I have stepped that up massively in recent months) and I would literally DIE for a Clarisonic but I may settle for a facial bush if the Cleanse and Polish doesn't do the job well enough for me.

I looked at everything I have and everything I need and figured the below stuff will constitute my regime

(I will update when I have the missing pieces and let you know how it goes)

How would YOU spend £500?

So... some or all of you will know what I've been saving my money for lately.

It's been the reason I've had no hauls and no new beauty products to share here with you lately (apologies)

Anywho... so I have my money all saved and this week Lee and I are off work so the plan was to .... SHOP! My problem is this... can I really spend all that money on one item?

Here's what I've been saving for...

There are 3 different prints and 3 different sizes... I'm undecided on print but I think the size will be the MM which is Medium... mostly because the largest seems comically big for an everyday bag but also because when Lee and I get maried my initials will be MM!

The size I want costs £465.. Other than my computer and my car I have never spent even close to that kind of money on one item and I'm nervous to say the least.

I may never have this chunk of cash saved again specifically for this so I feel like I'll regret not buying it if I spend the cash elsewhere but would I rather regret not buying this one thing or buy it and regret spending all that money on something that just doesn't live up to my expectations? I don't go around flashing the cash and although I've discovered I spend an obscene amount of money on makeup etc but it's different spending £50 here and there on a beauty hall splurge and spending this huge amount on ONE THING!!! ugh! Champagne problems, right?

I was looking at what else I could get for the £500 I have saved...

When you look at it like that I'm a bit... eek!

So...I'm asking you.. if you have £500 to spend.. what would you spend it on?

Dress from Primark (summer 2010)

I've never worn this before, it's just hung in my closet but it's baggy enough to just about hide my expanding waist right now. - Great for Primark, I think.

 Necklace is also an old one from Primark but it's had a lot of wear. Its kind of a mix of gold/brassy and pewter tones so it's really versatille.

Shoes were an eBay bargain from a few years back, Jimmy Choo, I wish I knew the name... they are pretty bashed up now but I love them all the same.

Dior Mitzah Palette - WOW

I am in serious awe of Dior's new limited edition eyeshadow palette.

It will be available exclusively at Selfridges from 1st June but at £60 it's a ridiculous price even for such a beautiful collectors item as this. At £40 I'd have considered it but it would have still been a big splurge but £60? That's mental.

Anyway... I couldn't not share the beauty with you all, crazy money or not.. I'm sure many drugstore dupes will pop up in months to come so I'll be saving my love and my pennies for them instead.

I would have preferred the jumper to be a little longer with me wearing leggings but overall this is the comfiest outfit I've worn in ages! Watch this space for some maternity stuff soon though 'cause my choice of work wear is getting more and more limited all the time. Off to watch Gossip Girl now and envy the beautiful hair and wardrobe of Serena Vanderwoodsen *sigh*

Favourite Drugstore Lipsticks

I have just filmed a video on my favourite drugstore lipsticks and thought I'd share the swatches on my blog.

I must say, Rimmel came out very well. I've always loved the smell of their lipsticks, they're not always the same but they always smell good! The only rival they may have once had was the Maybelline Watershine lipsticks that smelled of Watermelon... yum! Do they still make watershines? hmm!?

I discovered Maegan's blog an age ago when I was searching for Morganite engagement rings... I was searching google images and found pictures of hers and opened up the world that is ...LoveMaegan.
She does mainly outfit posts but the photography makes me want to smash my camera up because my photos will never be as good. Her blog is escapism for me, I like to see beautiful things and beautiful people and if you are like me you will love this blog!

Just as on my favourite YouTubers post I am sure I don't need to introduce Kandee Johnson to you all. She is obviously a hugely popular YouTuber but I actually love her blog MORE. I loved following her pregnancy and now her baby pictures of "cupcake" and their travels.. it's personal and more journal-like than you would think. Although Kandee is a beauty "guru" she is NOT a beauty blogger! She just blogs... about whatever she wants... and I like it!

Pearls & Poodles
Milly is right now, to the best of my knowledge JUST a blogger. She did make videos for a time but as far as I can understand it some mean comments drove her away... YouTube's loss for sure!
I can't actually remember how I found her blog but the products she reviews and discusses are always of interest to me and her posts and really well planned and factual. Milly is another hair changer like myself so I love seeing what she's doing with her hair and how she's treating it when it gets dry and damaged. Again Milly is an outfit poster... she's very fashion forward and although I wouldn't wear 90% of her wardrobe... she pulls it off and I'm only jealous. You can look forward to random baking blog posts in the mix here.. it's a lovely blog to dive into when you have an hour to spare.

Danielle hasn't blogged since Februarywhich I could cry about.
I discovered Jeune Marie on the day of her last blogpost, sadly, and then lost 3 days in it reading every post from the 4 or so years she's been blogging. It starts with her engagement, her wedding planning, many events and interior design projects she's worked on, Fashion, love and life. I can't pigeon hole this blog but I was sucked in and I think you will too... and maybe if enought of us contact her she will blog again soon!

Another blog I found by chance... I think I found this one because she posted a comment on my blog... I just can't quite remember. Her original blog was again a wedding planning one which I enjoy but she also has a post wedding blog which chronicled her surprise pregnancy and life since baby. She and her husband who she affectionately and anonymously refers to as 'G' are building their own house which is practically a mansion and I can't WAIT to see how they decorate it. They are foodies too and their photographs of get togethers and of course their adorable baby son are beautiful. Another really great blog that just not enough people know about.

This jumper is so nice on, Another thing I picked up in the sale recently, the only problem is by the end of the day it looked like I'd had a dog sat on my lap.. it has mohair in it and it gets EVERYWHERE!

I've discovered the morning light in my living room is much better than outside so my outfit posts should be a little better from now on!

I was searching for this necklace everywhere but the black enamel version is last season now and difficult to get hold of so I was really pleased when I found this.

It was realy quick delivery too!
