My MK

 Michael Kors watches are uber trendy right now and because of that I'm sure not everyone likes them but I certainly do! I've wanted one for more than a year but they were about double what I was prepared to pay. Originally I wanted a rose gold version but was worried the plating might wear off over time and for the money I wanted something I could wear everyday. Because of that I didn't want any "glitz" either, the adhesive is often water soluble and once the little gems fall off it looks a little less special. I needed it to be waterproof.. if I take my watch off I'm unlikely to remember to put it back on and on that note also comfortable as well as of classically stylish. Wasn't asking much, eh? Lucky girl that I am Lee bought me this beauty for Christmas and I haven't taken it off since. It ticks all the boxes and even has crystals on the beautiful mother of pearl face so I got the glitz after all without risk of it falling apart over time. I couldn't be happier with my new timepiece!

Come Shop With Me..

I'm sure most of you will agree that jeans are absolutely the hardest thing to shop for.

I tried on a few pairs and have had to accept that super skinnies really don't flatter my shape. Unfortunately there's not a lot else out there on the high street as they're so popular. Luckily I did find a nice pair of boot cuts (top right) that *just* fit me in Dorothy Perkins... I wanted them a little tight as my tummy is still swollen and I don't want them to be huge on me in a month. 

I was shopping for anything everything but I knew I wanted a good pair of jeans, some basic tops and a wear-with-all cardigan. I got a coupe of scoop necked tops (wearing in the pictures) but the knitwear eluded me. Either it was too scratchy, didn't look like it would hold up in the wash or was just plain awful. I'm probably the most picky about cardigans. When I find one I like I need to buy it because it could be years before I find another. I've seen a couple I like online but I'm never sure of the material.. may just have to chance it.

So.. when I couldn't find more than a couple of things I liked Lee took me to look at watches. He said he'd initially wanted to get me a Michael Kors watch as he knew how much I'd wanted one but they just seem so expensive.. I'm not sure. These are the two we were considering...

The one on the left I think is my favourite as it's a bit more classic and I can wear it everyday, the one on the right was in the sale which is a nice bonus but it's a bit flashy. The strap is clear perspex so it doesn't feel as robust and it's still not cheap for something that doesn't feel very substantial. I would like a watch that's swim proof so I never have to take it off.. reason being I NEVER remember to put a watch on! I'm looking at alternatives but what do you guys think? Any suggestions of must-haves you think I should check out are also welcome!
