Come Shop With Me..

I'm sure most of you will agree that jeans are absolutely the hardest thing to shop for.
I tried on a few pairs and have had to accept that super skinnies really don't flatter my shape. Unfortunately there's not a lot else out there on the high street as they're so popular. Luckily I did find a nice pair of boot cuts (top right) that *just* fit me in Dorothy Perkins... I wanted them a little tight as my tummy is still swollen and I don't want them to be huge on me in a month.
I was shopping for anything everything but I knew I wanted a good pair of jeans, some basic tops and a wear-with-all cardigan. I got a coupe of scoop necked tops (wearing in the pictures) but the knitwear eluded me. Either it was too scratchy, didn't look like it would hold up in the wash or was just plain awful. I'm probably the most picky about cardigans. When I find one I like I need to buy it because it could be years before I find another. I've seen a couple I like online but I'm never sure of the material.. may just have to chance it.
So.. when I couldn't find more than a couple of things I liked Lee took me to look at watches. He said he'd initially wanted to get me a Michael Kors watch as he knew how much I'd wanted one but they just seem so expensive.. I'm not sure. These are the two we were considering...

The one on the left I think is my favourite as it's a bit more classic and I can wear it everyday, the one on the right was in the sale which is a nice bonus but it's a bit flashy. The strap is clear perspex so it doesn't feel as robust and it's still not cheap for something that doesn't feel very substantial. I would like a watch that's swim proof so I never have to take it off.. reason being I NEVER remember to put a watch on! I'm looking at alternatives but what do you guys think? Any suggestions of must-haves you think I should check out are also welcome!

What's on YOUR list?

Christmas Shopping... For ME?

Every year Lee struggles with presents for me... he never knows what to buy and yet every year he buys things I love. This year he's really pushing the issue and would really like me to pick some things for myself (as well as the obligatory "surprises"). I'm torn. I like the idea of a shopping spree don't get me wrong but I'm an old fashioned girl when it comes to presents, I hate to buy people things they've asked for and I hate to be bought things I've said I want. It's stupid really because there are some items I just won't buy for myself and Christmas is the perfect time to get them but.. I don't know. I think it's about trying to retain some of the magic of Christmas from when you were a kid.. the Santa magic.

As a compromise I thought I'd spend half my budget on some new clothes. After being in maternity wear for the majority of 2011 it will be nice to shop for something in the regular section and I could do with some larger sized "transitional" clothes to wear while I'm waiting to squeeze back in my pre-baby wardrobe.

I went shopping on the hunt for jeans last weekend and while I realised I'm not quite jeans ready yet I discovered the gem that is Dorothy Perkins. I hadn't ventured in in the longest time but the 30% off signs in the window enticed me through the doors. I found some fab jeans I will fit in to soon at BARGAIN prices and spied some other goodies too so when we agreed I would do some of my own Christmas shopping it was my first port of call. I was excited to see the 30% off is still running so we will take another trip tomorrow. Here's what I have my eye on so far...

Of course you have to widen the net a little if you're really going to get the best cross section of what's available right now so in the interest of market research I took a look at Topshop online too...

Sequin Crop Cami £30
Leigh Supersoft Skinnies £38
Pink Textured Jumper £36
Suede Beaded Feather Earrings £10

And River Island...

Navy Belted Maxi Skirt £12
Pink Bandage Pencil Skirt £10
Grey Ponti Pencil Skirt £10
Polka Dot Body Con Dress £35
Purple Wrap Front Dress £30
Indigo Sexy  Super Skinny Jeans £39.99
Coral Skinny Jeans £40
Leopard Print Tshirt £15
Leopard Print Belt £15
Black Heart Necklace £10

I have to say the jeans at Dorothy Perkins are so reasonably priced I can't see myself forking out for the Topshop/River Island options but they're lovely all the same. I think I'll get some basics from there and pick up a couple of nicer items from RI/Topshop. I LOVE the pink jumper and the leopard top. I will no doubt take my camera shopping. I'm trying to Vlog every day n December (started a couple of days late but I'm on a roll now) so go and subscribe to my daily vlog channel if you want to come shopping with me!!!

Searching for Soft Lips

So I'm back fro my blogging hiatus (my laptop is back from the fixers..yay!)
Now I've conquered my eyebrow obsession my next is super soft lips. I bought something called Everyday Minerals Deep Kiss Buff & Shine which I am not so enamoured of. The smell is ugh! and you expect me to put that on my mouth? I've used it a couple of times and it's not really improved the dryness/roughness on my lips so I'm not prepared to keep it up for the smell to be as bad as it is! I think I'm going to try the bubblegum one from Lush. After my most recent video lots of people recommended it so I figure.. they can't all be wrong. While I was on their site I also saw a balm called "Lip Service" which is apparently their "original super softner". I figure the scrub paired with the balm may just give me the beautifully soft lips I crave.
So I'm off to Meadowhall this morning to pick up some things and will pop in to Lush.
Do you guys have any suggestions for something I simply MUST try? I'm not a huge Lush fanatic so I haven't tried much but would be open to something new if you guys love it.

New Skincare

I've been watching MANY YouTube videos on skincare today.. I spend so much on makeup and have such a large collection but I don't really have a skincare routine.. that changes now.
Here are some of the videos I watched in case you're interested..

I realise I need to watch my diet.. now I don't feel nauseous anymore (pregnancy) I can choose what I eat a little better. I also need to drink more water (although I have stepped that up massively in recent months) and I would literally DIE for a Clarisonic but I may settle for a facial bush if the Cleanse and Polish doesn't do the job well enough for me.
I looked at everything I have and everything I need and figured the below stuff will constitute my regime
(I will update when I have the missing pieces and let you know how it goes)

I would love your skincare suggestions, what are your Holy Grail products?

Orgasm Multiple, Blended

I have had THE longest day!
Up early for a morning at Ellas school, she was given a "Brilliant Bee" award, very proud Mummy here!
Then a docs appt with Lee and an afternoon of birthday shopping.
It's not my birthday until next week but I want a day to prep and preen (I rarely go out) so I thought I'd do the exhausting shopping a week early. I went a little crazy but it's a treat :) Very excited to get to try out my new Nars. I've wanted the Orgasm multiple and the sheer glow FOR-EVER but I think the sales lady wanted to hug me when I bought a blush as well.. very little sales involved lol. I tried Bella Bamba by Benefit today too and I like it! I think I will purchase next week.. very cute on!

Anywho..
I'm working all weekend so I'll wish you all a great one now, and for those going to IMATS I am sooo jealous but I know I would have bankrupted myself if I'd gone!
