Metallic Smoke

What I Used

17 Wild Metallic Shadows in Wild Silver and Wild Midnight Blue
2True Easyglide Khol Liner
HD Brows Palette in Vamp
Maybelline One by One Mascara (top lashes)
Daniel Sandler Baby Jet Mascara (bottom lashes)
Urban Decay Cream Highlight in Moonshine
Benefit Boxed Powder in Moonshine
MAC lipstick in Angel

I really wanted to do a tutorial with my new Wild Metallic shadows from 17 and it ended up kind of "costumey". In pictures it looks pretty wearable but it was a bit on the garish side for my liking so I would be more likely to whip this out for an upcoming Halloween party than a night out.. you might feel differently.. each to their own. Either way the shadows were pretty good. A little difficult to work with as they don't seem to set so they're not easy to layer and as the evening progressed you might smudge them. They do give a lot of bang for your buck though. I am looking forward to trying some different shades from the range as just between the two I picked up the formula is very different. The Wild Silver is more of a metallic block silver where are the Wild Midnight Blue is a dull, sheer dark blue with lots of glitter. Both look totally different which is a nice contrast but I expected the range to be the same shade to shade. The silver was definitely easier to blend so I'm hoping the neutrals I want to go back for are more like that. Although they do crease without a primer and are prone to sliding around on your eye if you are a glitter-phobe like me these are a great way to achieve that sparkle without the dreaded fall out of a powder shadow.

Smokin' Eyes at Smokin' Prices

After the success of the Nails Inc Magnetic nail polish deal I'm really pleased to be telling you about this one. I was as sceptical as the next person and wasn't sure whether the Nails Inc deal would be a one off but its looking like those among us in the market for beauty bargains will grow to love BuyaPowa.. our bank accounts perhaps even more so. The current deal is for Benefit's Smokin' Eyes Makeover Kit. It's a handy handbag sized palette perfect for travelling, touch ups or even to keep in your desk drawer for those impromptu post work drinks. It's all you need to transform your makeup from day to night.

As you can see from the picture below the price drops from £28.50 to £17.50 immediately and providing 75 people buy everyone will pay just £13.00!! Postage is free too!
You can currently buy this palette at House Of Fraser for £31.50 including delivery where it's been given 5 star reviews by customers who've paid full price. If it's a great product at £28.50 then it's a fantastic one at  £13.00, wouldn't you agree?

If you're interested in the offer you can click here to view it live..
By the time you're reading this it could already have reduced in price!

If you have any questions check out my blog post here which hopefully will answer most of them and give you a bit more info about BuyaPowa and how it works.
If you've got a suggestion as to what their next deal should be leave me a comment there.

Midnight Lilac

So I filmed a tutorial but something happened to my camera and I now want to throw it at the wall because all I'm left with are these not so hot photos! Grr!!! I promise to re-film but it will have to wait til I can figure out a solution to my Nikon's problem because I'm not doing it again for nothing and tutorials on my phone are fuzzy at best! So fingers crossed I'm back up and running soon in the meantime let me know what you think of what will now be the "preview"...

Oil slick all over the lid with grifter blended from the brow bone down and over the black lightening it up and adding a sparklier dimension. I also used grifter on the inner corners and oil slick on the outer over zero 24/7 liner pencil.

I'm actually wearing this in this video..
So check it out!

Snookie - Halloween Look

Okay so when deciding what to go as this Halloween the general concensus voted JERSEY SHORE!!!
As a result I thought I'd try it out for a tutorial before I made my final makeup/costume decision.. especially as it's a group fancy dress deal.. I'm not convinced it will make the cut but I thought I'd post a picture for all of you that just read my blog or missed the video.. Here's what I did.. what do you think?
