I heard about this launch a while ago and being the BB cream lover that I am I was excited to try it. Before I even get started I will let you in on a secret.. I don't like it! I am beyond disappointed. It's completely different to my Garnier, it's closer to Origins Vita-zing in that it 'adapts to your skin tone'. It starts off white and as you rub it it warms up and blends in, unfortunately the more you rub it the darker it becomes. As you can see I bought the FAIR skin tone option but as is clear in the photo below.. it's a touch deeper than fair! This is just my first impression of course and I haven't had chance to do a full face with this stuff yet. I'm hoping that I will find a way to apply this without rubbing it into an Oompa Loompa orange. I'm not sure if it's the rubbing action itself or the heat from my hands so I'll try a brush and get back to you but given that it's a new product I wanted to give you a first look asap.
It kind of reminds me of Glow Job by Soap and Glory. Perhaps it has teeny tiny subtle bronzing particles as opposed to big chunky obvious ones, who knows? I will.. when I come back to you with a comprehensive review. For now I'm distinctly underwhelmed and a little annoyed I wasted my money.
If this still appeals it's available at Boots now for £9.99 here

It is a bit disappointing that it turns bright orange as you rub it in :/ I'd like to know how it turns out when you use a brush :)

I'm keeping everything crossed 'cause I don't like to waste a tenner lol
DeleteIt'd be my guess that it's the heat causing the colour so I hope you get better results with a brush. Otherwise, boo! >__<
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that will work!
DeleteWow, another crap by L'Oreal! Disappointing but not surprising. Sometimes I wonder if companies really know what is a BB Cream or if they are using this term simply for as a marketing ploy.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been impressed by many loreal products over the years so I'm not surprised and I agree.. no drugstore BB creams are really BB creams!
DeleteHmmm...I might try this. I've never used BB creams before.

Wait til I've tried to make it work n I'll tell you if it's worth it!
DeleteI saw this and after swatching it on my hand I was just like 'WTF' I thought I'd picked up a bad tube but no, they were all like that. Not going to purchase it because its just a bit weird.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering when you were gonna post about this! New BB cream on the market and a fair amount of hype...figured it was only a matter of time before you gave in to the temptation to try it :)!
ReplyDeleteDisappointing that the shades are so poorly designed...on what planet is that 'fair? Ahh well, hopefully it fares better with a brush.
i got it friday and I HATED IT..i cant use it..i got the fair one and i tried it at home, applied on my face..WHAT A JOKE...i thought i picked the wrong tone ..cause it was so dark orangey..yuck!waste of money!
ReplyDeleteThat color is horrible! Curious to see what it looks like applied with a brush x
ReplyDeletejeez! your hand looks so bright, i hate to think how ridiculous us fair skinned ladies would look with that on our faces! x
ReplyDeleteI had my eye on this but after reading your review I think I will just leave it. I can't believe how orange it goes. What were they thinking when they released this product :/
ReplyDeleteits not heat sadly... the little 'grains' you see in it before oyu rub it in are full of pigment, as you rub it in they break and release the colour. its a bit of a gimmick because they always claim on these products that you should stop rubbing it in when it matches you, but most of the time thats not practically possible. :/ i found that the revlon one was very similar when swatched in store, far too dark!
