InkWear in Practice

You may remember I posted about InkWear a couple of weeks ago, introducing you to the brand and promising a follow up. I wanted to show you my step by step application. It's pretty self explanatory, my only tips would be to hold the tattoo very still while you're saturating the back and hold it for 2 or 3 minutes before uncovering. All of the instructions are on the back of course but I doubt you'll need them.

As you can see it's really quite simple. As easy as the gumball tattoos you remember but with cuter designs and a much wider catalogue available. As I mentioned in my previous post you can pick these up from InkWear.co.uk and prices start at £1.99.

I do really like the idea of the new age temporary tattoo but I do wish to stress that these are very much temporary! I wore no perfume/lotion the evening I applied this and by the time I got home less than 5 hours later I was starting to see wear, the next morning it was a mess. I'm not saying they're not worth a shot, I think they're great but manage your expectations. It's unlikely you're going to get more than a day or two's wear out of a temporary tattoo no matter where it's from. Placement does have a lot to do with it of course. If you compared one on a flat area - your back for example - which sees little movement with a tattoo placed on or near a joint - as seen here - you will find the tattoo near the join will wear quicker. It's just common sense. Don't expect more than a product can deliver and you wont be disappointed.

InkWear are currently holding a contest on their facebook page to win £30 worth of their tattoos, you can see more about that here.

Have any of you tried InkWear? I know some readers commented on my first post that they were interested in new temporary tattoos but how many of you have given them a go?

Not So Permenant Ink

I have had these in my drawer waiting for the right time to review them since December and that right time just hasn't presented itself. I wanted to showcase them in some kind of outfit post and intended to wear them for a night out and report on their longevity.. of course being the mother of a 4 month old baby.. the nights our are few and far between so I've decided to best test them out I'm going to take them along with me to Vegas next week. I will take some photos and let you know how well they wear.

I'm a big fan of temporary tattoos, I have the real kind too almost all of which I regret and had there been such realistic looking fakes ten years ago I may never have had one at all. I used the Urban Decay versions every day when I worked on counter and the quality is far improved from the little bubble gum freebies you used to get as a kid so don't let past experience put you off.

Why not adorn yourself with realistic body art without the painful application or lifetime commitment?

You can find InkWear here (link) and from what I can see the tattoos start from £1.99. They also offer custom designs which start at £4 but you can have anything you like on a transfer! how cool is that?

I think my favourite is this one (link)

Look out for a full review coming soon...

To Ink or not To Ink?

Hey Guys!

Wow I've had such a busy week.. so I've been kinda slack on the blog front! my bad :(
I've been thinking a lot about getting another tattoo..
I'm wondering what you guys think of tattoos!
I love Kat Von D, I would obviously never go that far but I love how she's kinda girly but edgy and her tattoos suit her style so well. I'd love to have a big writing tattoo like her "hollywood" one on her lower stomach...

I also love pretty much every tattoo rihanna has (all but for the guns :s... that's not for me!!! Do any of you guys have tattoos? Do you think they're beautiful or just something we'll regret when we get old? I'm not sure... every now and then I get a hankering for some new ink but they say it's an addiction and I don't want to go crazy! I'd love to have something pretty to link my tattoos together but I think that would have to be pretty big.. Hmmmm... Since YouTube I can't make decisions for myself lol, so you guys are in the hot seat.. To ink or not to ink that is the question... and yours are my answers!!!

xoxo
