I know these have been compared in the past but I had to share this for those of you that have missed it especially as right now you can buy 3 2True products for £4.99 from Superdrug here (£1.99 each)
I haven't splashed out on Chanel Paradoxal myself as 1. I don't love it enough to spend that kind of money and 2. I already have this shade (no.46) from 2True which is close enough for me! It was super difficult to photograph but hopefully you can make out the purple/blue shimmer running through the taupey-greige polish. I think the polish itself needs to be a touch more purple to be a true dupe but it's pretty darn close I'm sure you'll agree and at £1.99 what have you got to lose?...well... £1.99 I suppose.
I couldn't do a dupe post without a photo of the original swatch, could I? So I had to borrow this one from Lacquerized.com. Click on the photo to be taken to their original review post.
I am totally loving the leopard print nails trend that hit a while ago and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. I keep seeing it on posts from other bloggers I follow and every time I think I must try that for myself.. well since I bought the Models Own Nail Art Pen I had no excuse not to give it a go so... here is my first attempt.
I first applied 2True Fast Dry Nail Colour in Shade 9
Once dry I blobbed on some Soiree from MAC
Then I just kind of doodled around it in a leopard print fashion.. it's not my neatest work but that's the beauty of this.. it doesn't really have to be! I will definitely be trying this out with some other colours but If you've tried this yourself I'd love to see your versions so leave me a link in the comments or email me a picture. Having scoured Google Images for inspiration prior to doing it myself I've seen so many different versions, I love to see the different interpretations of a trend. So many new and creative ways to keep it fresh.
I've decided I am going to blog my outfits every day throughout September.
It's my last month at work before I take my maternity leave. I don't have as much time as I'd like to dedicate to blogging and YouTube but this will guarantee a post every day even if it's not much more than a photo and a one liner. I will have at least 5 weeks at home before the baby comes s I intend to throw myself at MissBudgetBeauty and see what I can make of it while I have the time.. I'm really looking forward to it. Anyway.. on to the post. You shouldn't expect much in the way of elaborate or designer gear but so few of my clothes actually fit me now it's forcing me to be more creative so I figured.. why not document it? Hopefully you find the posts entertaining or even inspirational for those of you fellow preggos out there.
Today I wore my beloved TopShop maternity leggings (you will see A LOT of them) and a white primark vest under a "baggy" boyfriend shirt I bought a million years ago from GAP. On my nails I have 2True shade no.6 which is a fab dupe for Chanels Paradoxal btw (I've tried to get pictures but it photographs terribly) My necklace is the hamsa hand charm I bought on ebay and put on some random chain and my bag is from Oasis. It's also likely you will see my daily breakfast which will no doubt be highly embarrassing for me as I am the least health conscious pregnant woman... don't judge me!
Oh and for those wondering my phone case is from ebay!
Please excuse the terrible angle which makes my nose looks MONSTER but a quick beauty breakdown...
Garnier BB Cream in Light (I'm going to stick with it all month to really test it's benefits) MAC MSF in Natural Light, MAC Peaches Blush, Accessorize bronzer in Laguna to highlight, Eyebrows are filled in with "espresso" by MAC. I have Sumputous Olive on my eyes and lined them with Avon Glimmerstick in Black (review to come... it's not favourable so far but I'm trying to stick with it) I used Benefits "They're Real" on my lashes.. I have more thoughts on that since my initial review too!
I have nothing on my lips which is usual for me.. I don't often wear gloss or lipstick for work.. not my style.
Is anyone else going to join me and blog your outfit every day this month? I loved the "Vlogust" idea last month and I might do something like that video-wise when I'm home all the time but in the meantime this is a little easier to stick to... apologies in advance if some posts are shorter than others!
I've seen this on so many people recently and really wanted to try it for myself. I thought I'd start small and go neutral and unfortunately I only really had two colours to work with so this is what I ended up with. I used Deborah Lipmann -Waking Up In Vegas and 2True - Shade 9.
I will definitely try this again with some other shades very soon. The trouble is I have lots of blue's, lots of purples etc etc but they're not all the same kind of blue or purple so it just doesn't look quite right. I've seen some adventurous bloggers mix their own shades so I may have to try my hand at that.. get it? MY HAND... !!??
So.. as 2True sent me some products to review recently I thought I would put aside the "spares" for a little giveaway for my fabulous readers and subscribers.

Recently the kind people at 2True sent me some items to review (ha, that rhymes!)
They asked me to choose my favourite products and review them. I pretty much already have my favourites so the good news is that most of the items sent to me will go into a lovely giveaway for you guys!
First up is their concealer,
I would liken it to Maybellines 24h concealer that I rave about... its great coverage, yellow based (cancels out redness) and has light reflecting particles to disguise dark circles.
Below is the 2True wand next to the maybelline (l-r) for comparison
Next up is the colour drench lipgloss
This has been likened to MAC lipglasses and I can see why. The formula is very similar, as is the applicator (but I guess so are many) The smell is vanilla... remind me A LOT of a car air freshener but I don't hate it. For the amount of product you get it's really amazing value and that is why it's made my favourites.
Below you can see the applicator compared to a MAC lipglass (l-r) for comparison
If you haven't already tried 2True eyeliner you need to rush out and buy one right NOW! They are widely raved about across the beauty community and here are a few dupe swatches I've found for you..
Urban Decay liners are swatched above and 2True below..
Black - Zero
Purple - Ransom
Blue - Electric
Next, you guys know how much I LOVE my Rimmel liquid liner..
well this is maybe as good if not better.
The formula is perfect, wet enough that it's easy to apply and not dragging on your lids and thick enough that you still have control over where you're applying it. The applicator is not quite as flexible as the Rimmel that I love but I feel like it will loosen up with time.
Below you can see this compared to the Rimmel (r-l) for comparison
Lastly the glossywear nail polish
How good a dupe is this?
I love this colour, is has so much depth, it's metallic, has shades of purple randing from warm to cool and a special kind of shimmer all in one perfect little bottle. It's relatively long wearing but I'm hard on my nails so I'm not great tester on that front but it DOES look glossy. You don't really need a topcoat other than to aid longevity.
