Blonde vs Brunette

So Autumn is upon us and I've been blonde for some time now...
I like to change it up as you know and I've been growing my roots out with the option of maybe going for this whole "two tone" dark roots deal that seems to have been getting more and more popular..
I've always flipped between blonde and brunette once or twice a year and this is the season I'm usually uindecided.. maybe I can have both?
These are a few examples of the trend.. Some good, some BAD
Any opinions? drop me a comment I'd love to hear your opinions! It's taken me a while to come around to it and I will definitely go for a more subtle version but I like the idea of blonde without having the root upkeep. It has to be better for my hair and as I'm trying to grow it it may be the best option, I know if I go full on brunette I will end up bleaching it within an inch of its life again within a couple of months..
so what do we think???

Could I rock this trend? are any of you akready rocking it? hints, tips and the like are welcome

xoxo

  1. The Lauren Conrad & Cameron Diaz colours looks nice but the black roots/blonde ends looks abit silly in my opinion. As something different try blonde with chocolate highlights and low lights or a brown flash through your fringe?

    Heres an idea>>

  2. I recently ombred my hair. I really love it! My hair is naturally light brown so i have light brown at the top and it slowly fades to a blondey colour, its subtle but really pretty and means you dont have to choose between blonde and brown. I did it at home by myself, basically I just mixed up some bleach powder and cream and scrunched it into the tips of my hair and combed it through and let it sit for about half an hour to an hour and it worked very well! Dont waste money at the salon! I think it would look nice on you :)

  3. Hiya, I reckon you could totally rock this look! I would say select a colour as close to your natural as you can get, then back comb the ends of your hair up as far as you want the blonde to start, coat the ends with condtioner (this will stop any of the darker colour going onto the bits you want lighter plus it'll give those fragile ends a bit of a treat!)then simply paint the darker colour on the roots to midlengths! By backcombing the ends it should give you a less "uniform" look x
