Wedding Countdown - My Cake, My Flowers & My Something Blue

I'M GETTING MARRIED IN THE MORNING!!!

Eek! It's true so here is my final countdown post and a peek at my homemade (like you couldn't tell) wedding cake, DIY floristry efforts and my last minute 'something blue'.

First up is the cake... Inside it's 5 alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate sponge with vanilla frosting.. outside I went a little crazy with the edible glitter. In truth I think it would have looked 100% better without any glitter at all but hey ho... what you gonna do? The topper is a floral hairclip from H&M that caught my eye while out shopping today..
You can see the full cake post on my wedding blog here

I was a little more nervous about the flowers.. I've never so much as arranged flowers in a vase let alone put together a bridal bouquet but here's what I managed to cobble together for Ella and I to hold tomorrow. I even found a little M (initial of my married surname) lying around and attached it to my posie. Very cute, I'm sure you'll agree and I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out! For more photos and info on these (they cost me £8.50 to make!!) click here

Lastly my 'something blue'. Until today I had nothing and until this week I had no ideas. I saw something like these shoes embellishments on ebay but the express shipping was astronomical so I decided to fashion my own and I'm absolutely in LOVE! So much so I'm considering adding little messages to all of my shoes! It was such a cheap and easy little detail but it might be my favourite one yet. For more info on the shoe stickers click here

I still don't have my 'something borrowed' and am typing this at 9pm on Friday night... little more than 12 hours before our I do's... If I were anymore laid back about the whole thing I'd probably forget to turn up! Shamefully we haven't even finalised our music yet.. it didn't even occur to us to CHOOSE music for a register office until people asked about it on YouTube.. hmmm. We have narrowed it down to a few tracks but this is the winner so far.

Anywho... that's it from me and my last post as missbudgetbeauty ;)

See you on the other side

Miss BB
