MAC Viva Glam Gaga II

I had a few request to see what I got for Christmas but I decided rather than one big post to split up the blog-relevant items to show you in their own posts. You've already seen my Sally Hansen Manicure set from Mum.. well next up from Lee was the Viva Glam Gaga II from Lee. He clearly read my letter to santa as they were on my list! To be honest I'd never even swatched them in store and nude is a tricky colour for me so I'm not sure why they were on my list past them being ltd edition and I liked them more than the original Gaga. Luckily they are the most perfect shade of nude I've ever seen! I was worried they would be too dark or too yellow based when I swatched on my hand but on my lips they were totally gorgeous. Better still the lipgloss is full of tiny shimmer particles which makes it slightly different to the lipstick which means I don't just have the exact same thing in different formulas which I'd expected. I'm sure you've seen 101 posts about this in the last year and I am so very 2011 here but I am never the first one on the band wagon so here are my swatches...

    really like the lipstick, its like a freckle tone (well my colour freckles are this colour) so would really suit me, your right they look different on than youd expect. Think I might take your idea and post an Xmas Santa list and see if he reads it x

    It reminds me of one of the Kate/Rimmel lipsticks 03, although thats maybe a touch pinker perhaps. I have a Maybelline Nude one too, Luminous Beige that appears very similar.. And Spotlight beige by Rimmel.. All of which don't look very good on me! Id love to see this as a FOTD to see how it all looks together :) xx

    I'm not the biggest nude fan, it's not the first colour I'd reach for, but this is a lovely shade! I agree with one of the comments above, I'd love to see this as part of a FOTD :-)
