Wedding Dress Stress

I feel like we've been planning to get married FOREVER!
*You can read all about it here*
But now it's actually approaching the dress stress is mounting and all of the options I've collected over the past 18 months all seem unsuitable. I need help! These are the six dresses I have.. do we have a winner or do I need to cross my fingers for a fab find in the January sales?

You can find all the dress/shoe info in my post here

I'm getting excited now as in a few weeks we will be able to give our notice to marry so we can do it whenever.. Once I have the dress locked down it will be on to my hair and makeup which will hopefully be much less frustrating.

Any suggestions are welcome (in fact they're encouraged)

Miss BB

  1. Yikes - wedding stress is never good. You should take some time to yourself. Maybe visit the spa?

Love those romantic outfits. You are certainly wedding ready :O)

  2. i personally like the one on the top left and the middle bottom, mainly because their flowy and elegant. If your still unsure you should try dorothy perkins they have some great dresses in atm that would suit a wedding and with 20% off full price online atm you cant get any better!

    Good luck :)

  6. I love the bottom row the one on the right and on the left both of those look incredible one is more floaty than the other but i love the detail and lace on the left one and both are what I imagine to be wedding dressy :)

all look beautiful :) but those are just my favourites

  7. I think the top left or the middle right are the nicest for a wedding :) They're still flowy and elegant enough to look like a wedding dress whilst at the same time being very different from the traditional wedding dress :)

  10. While you look great in all of them here is my opinion. Starting top left 1. Nice, maybe with a sash or or something with a little color around the waist. 2. Is lovely but a little prom-y for a wedding. 3. Great if you are working at the office- not so much wedding. Bottom row- 1. While gorgeous on you, too sexy for a wedding. A bit too over the top. 2. Is "nice" certainly does not look bad, but doesn't really do much for you. 3. Prolly my fave. Very romantic. It all really depends on the feel you want for your wedding. You will be beautiful no matter which you choose! XX

  13. Five is the most appropriate to get married in and number One's very pretty too. The others are lovely dresses but probably too tight or short for your big day!

  16. Are you keeping them all? I just wonder if you could take some back/return them, you could then afford a 'proper' wedding dress, iykwim?

For me (and I hate it when people say this but I do genuinely mean it!!) no offence, but most of them dont quite hit the mark.. The first one would be spot on if it were a maxi dress. The 2nd, I dislike the band, if it were lighter then maybe.. The 3rd, again I dislike the black and it just looks like a plain top with skirt. The 4th is nice, but maybe too tight and I can't work out whats going on underneath, that crew neck with v neck thing? The 5th does nothing for you and the 6th would probably have to be my favourite, is it white or cream? I think if you want a short wedding dress then the sleeves balance it out nicely :) Is it see-through!? Im sure I can see your belly button! lol

Def check Ebay though, some nice ones on there, bit of a risk when you cant see them in person, but you can always return/resell xx

  17. I think the second one is nice! There is a beautiful dress on the house of fraser website -Biba Lily sheer and beaded knee length wedding dress - not cheap though. Or Halston Heritage
One-Shoulder Ruched Dress on saksfifthavenue website.
Hope you find the perfect one!

  21. I like the 2nd and 4th. The 2nd is fun and different, and the 4th is somehow retro and still modern at the same time. Very chic!

I do love the one you posted on your wedding blog too though!

  22. maybe something longer, they seem clubbing appropriate not for a wedding.

  23. I would have to say bottom left and right. The red shoes look fab!!

  25. wow! so many comments... in answer to the questions, we're getting married either at doncaster or sheffield register office.. not sure yet and it will be in january most likely. I also think all of these dresses are too short and am not 100% happy with any of them. Some I already had and some were bought as options for our vegas wedding but it's so much harder to find a high street wedding dress now we're doing it in the uk. I am not quite ready to give up my vegas dreams which is prob why I am clinging on to these dresses which aren't really register office appropriate. I have, however, found this online which I LOVE and seems like just what I've been looking for!

  26. I like the one in the link - feminine, classy, pretty, better length - better than any of the above :-)

  27. Bottom left, for sure it looks amazing on you xx

  28. I love the very last one! x

  29. The dress on asos.com in your link is the one!!! The others are way too short, and I think not appropiate for a wedding just as you said!!
    Go for the Asos one!!!
