I don't know about you but I've always struggled with reds, some are so unflattering, you really have to pick the right colour for your skin tone. Some smudge terribly and others bleed or dry out your lips.
These are my top picks. If you're not a fan of long lasting formula's but want your lips to last longer I'd recommend a matte lipstick. My favourite is the miners matte factor so ease of application but the Revlon is a fab one too. Another honourable mention has to go to the 17 gloss I got free in a recent promotion. It's the perfect festive red to wear alone or on top of your favourite red shade. The only other must mention is lip liner... an absolute must for a perfectly polished pout!

I think the Maybelline Pleasure Me Red is my favourite here... I wish I could pull off an orangey-red colour but I think they would make my teeth look so yellow :(

I really love strawberry red shades like the Revlon and the Miners in your swatches, but unfortunately they just don't look good on me, so I have to stick with fire engine red or orangy red.

I never wear lip liner but it's a must with red lips as they always bleed when I wear it!! Love matte red lips! So classic and sexy! X

ReplyDeleteLOVE red lips for the winter. I just watched your video too. Revlon makes a lot of great reds, I have Love Your Red, or Fire and Ice is nice too.
