It seems this launch has caused quite a Stir in the beauty world and being a budget beauty lover myself I thought it was time I went to check it out. Kate Moss has been an ambassador for Rimmel since 2005 so it's about time she collaborated with them on a product of her own. She personally chose the seven shades that make up the collection (adventurously named 1,2,3,4,5,6&7) and they seem to be the seven staple shades every woman would ever need. It's like she's created a lipstick wardrobe for life. I popped in to my local Boots today to test them out and am pleased to say they are the same great Rimmel formula (yummy smell included) lovely and silky to apply and they appear to be just as moisturising. I have to admit there were no new shades that tempted me enough to purchase. They all seemed to be dupes for lipsticks I already own but for those wanting to pick up a few core colours to start or add to their collection would be hard pressed to find a better selection elsewhere for the price.
The two red shades are the same (fyi) |
Priced at £5.49 they are available right now in Boots stores and will launch across all stockists on 28th September.
Thanks for the swatches! Great price, but I agree, not sure there's any I'd be bothered to pick up.
ReplyDeleteI was tempted by the shades 02 and 03, but I just aren't sure now. Being Kate Moss doesn't thrill me too much, just like the look of the colours :)

I saw those for the first time today - I ended up getting number 8 (Rimmel usually give their lipsticks names but not with these). I'm thinking of getting number 5 at some point too. To be honest I didn't really care that it was Kate Moss - just liked the colours like Rebecca.Ann
ReplyDeleteThe kindo f raspberry/hot pink was gorgeous but too much like impassioned by MAC which I have and never wear.
ReplyDeletei think i will probably get on of the nudey colours or the bright pink, just so i can have one of the kate lipsticks, how sad lol :D
