I have had the longest day cleaning, tidying and building furniture, I really wanted a time out so settled on the sofa to watch some youtube. I feel like I get so little time to actually watch videos now. It's kind of anti-social to sit with my laptop, headphones on so I tend to read more blog posts. I really enjoy blogs and blogging for that reason.. I can still interact with my family and watch TV etc but connect with the "beauty community" at the same time. So... to my point... I am subscribed to 40 different channels, every now and then I have a clear out and un-sub from the ones I don't really watch so I don't miss new videos from those I do. I would watch any video from any of my current subscriptions happily because of this, however, I only get so much time alone to watch and I wanted to share with you all the youtubers I go back to time and time again and always love.
This isn't going to be so much a "shout out" post as some of these already have a substantial following, it's more like "let's share what we love and why we love it". So I'll just get started...
In no particular order..
I love love love this girl! I don't know what it is about her I just find her so easy to watch. She's very pretty, does beautiful makeup looks and she kind of talks like you're with her, less detached from the camera than some can be and I like that. She uses a lot of Urban Decay and MAC which I don't mind (I know some do) and she pretty much uses Sigma brushes religiously which I like because I have them. She mentions often that she has problem skin and reviews products that help her and talks about her love of Proactiv.
I follow her on twitter and she has a blog which she updates with comprehensive details from her Tutorials, you can find her links below...
Emily is a news anchor and you can tell. She is so confident in front of the camera and always super preened and beautiful. She drugstore products almost exclusively with a few mid-range thrown in every now and then from brands like MAC and Too Faced. Emily's video are of a higher quality than you see from most "guru's" on youtube. She puts so much time into planning videos that her viewers will want to see eg. high end Dupes, product tests and gift ideas. She makes "Em's World" video's that show you an insight into her life which I really enjoy. She's another easy watcher I'd recommend any of you to sub to if you're not already.
Emily also tweets regularly (plus for a big twitter fan like myself)
Kandee is HUGE on YouTube so I know you will have watched or at least heard of her.
She's so smiley and happy all the time and she has SO many haters I don't know how she keeps it up. I love her blog maybe even more than her youtube channel.. She's a fantastic makeup artist but if I'm honest the tutorial side of youtube is only a tiny part of it's appeal for me. I like to watch someone that "lights up" and it really passionate about what they're talking about... no matter what it is. She has kids that she blogs a lot about and as I'm sure you know she's recently had a new little addition so I followed her pregnancy while we were trying to concieve and now her baby posts are makeing me even more broody now I'm finally pregnant. Even though our worlds are so far apart I can really relate to her and that's why I watch her videos and read her blog.
I have really had my up's and downs with juicytuesday (Teresa). It's a little like with juicystar07 (who by the way I'm not liking right now lol) I have changed my mind about her so many times but somehow she always seems to draw me back in. The titles of her videos aren't particularly captivating, there's nothing she's doing to make people want to watch her videos but she doesn't have to do anything. She doesn't edit, she rambles for as long as she likes at top speed about all kinds of things and I just love her... there's not a lot more I can say!
They are my top picks - I watch every video they put out.. there are a few others I want to mention too..
